This class will consist of a story read by our energetic and entertaining instructor, followed by fun and engaging sensory, process art and messy activities related to the story. Reading stories to children at a young age stimulates their imagination and helps build language and listening skills while the messy art and sensory activities nurture social and emotional health, reinforcing such skills as relaxation, focus, self-esteem and emotional sharing and helps to build such cognitive skills as comparison, prediction, planning and problem-solving.
For ages 2-4. Class held at the Civic Auditorium (803 S. 8th Ave. in Kankakee). $56 per student.
